Regina Books Through Bars (RBTB)

Regina Books Through Bars (RBTB) is the first RPIRG Working Group at the University of Regina and is committed to challenging the spread of the prison industrial complex, engaging in acts of direct solidarity with prisoners.

Our Work Focuses on Three Areas:

1)Research:

regarding the criminal justice system, including police, courts,

               prisons, and alternatives.

2)Education:

of ourselves and others about the inequalities of the system.

3)Action:

in the form of communicating with prisoners and sending them

              quality books for free.

Book Donations:

We will gladly accept your book donations.  We are especially in need of the following books:  dictionaries/thesaurus/current health books/national geographic/magazines/comics/social justice books/law/black, native and latino history, struggle and literature.

We also accept donations of money and packing materials.

Volunteer

new volunteers are welcome and can participate in a variety of capacities and initiatives.  We have regular monthly meetings.  We can always use help with organizing book drives, and sending books to prisons.
